Gaming WoW PvP

I originally planned to just combine all the games into one for my first post... But that was impossible as I'm sure you realized before I did! Anyhow! As promised the first blog on gaming is upon us!

WoW (World of Warcraft) a massively popular game set in the fantasy world of Azeroth. A player selects a race based either in 'Alliance' or 'Horde' and the races vary from Human to Tauren (a cow like beast). From there the player chooses a class to play that is available to that race.
i.e. Tauren Priest. Blood Elf Hunter. Night Elf Druid. Gnome Mage. and the list goes on...

Each class uses either: mana, energy, focus, rage, or runic power. Every class has a unique combination of gear that it can use (and weapons as well).
i.e. Druids can wear: Cloth and Leather. They can use Staves, Maces, Daggers, Fist Weapons, and Polearms.

As I said I will be breaking this into 3 sections so read all three if you like... Or whichever one you are most interested in! The order will be PvP, PvE, and RP.

Okay... Batter up!

Earlier I mention that I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most elite players in the game. Yes. They can be difficult to get along with at first but if you give them a chance... They are all just squishy. ;)

I will be linking videos that these players have posted as they deserve recognition for their work. Check them out and I'm sure you will enjoy everything that is linked here! I would like to say... That I have not worked will all the players I am linking (or even most of them). I feel that they just need to be here! :)

And I digress...

PvP! This is arguably the most difficult part of any game. The player must have the ability to 'guess' their opponent's next move and counter act without hesitation (a skill I have yet to learn...).

I am not going to be walking you through what you need to do for your specific class. I am going to be linking sites to visit, videos to watch, and really just showing you how fun PvP can be!

For the first site I am linking I recommend taking the advice with a grain of salt. Yes there are some very good tips but... Be weary!
             http://www.noxxic.com/wow/#
This site is well laid out, organized, and (I must admit) helpful.

Next. Any PvP'er, in my honest opinion, should know Dara Mactire. If you don't... Good thing you are reading THIS blog.

Dara Mactire is a guild comprised of the best of the best PvP'ers in game (I imagine there may be argument here. But for the purpose of this blog... ^ That is fact). This guild is exclusive with whom gets membership and the requirements are... Specific. If you want in... You need to work your @$$ off for it.

And some of my personal favourite videos:

And now for my favourite part... FUN!

Q: What to you call a Druid who melee's in tree form?
A : A combat log!

A regiment of Stormwind's soldiers is in The Barrens. They see a Shaman, who quickly runs behind a mountain hoping to escape the regiment. The commander sends in two of his best men to kill the Shaman. After some time his men haven't returned. Disgruntled, the commander sends in twenty of his best men to kill that Shaman. More time passes, and none of them returns. After a while he orders *all* the rest of the regiment to kill that Shaman.

Some time after, the commander spots one of his men limping back to him.
He orders the soldier to tell him what happened.

"It was a trap, Sir! There were two of them!"

Q: Why don't warriors get their weapons enchanted with Int?
A: They don't want their weapons to be smarter than they are.

What do you call 1 troll on the moon? A problem. What do you call 10 trolls on the moon? A bigger problem. What do you call 100 trolls on the moon? A huge problem. What do you call ALL the trolls on the moon? Problem solved

Okay! I'm done! Promise! Next week I will have some screenshots from in-game as it stands... Those channels will keep you busy until then!

Well. This is the author, editor, and Supreme Overlord of PvP! On my server. In my guild... Of my class... Using a spider named OrangeKrush... /sigh one day I will be the Supreme Overlord of PvP! >:)  And I'm signing off. See you next time!

Gaming ~ Introduction

Well... It has been awhile since we last talked... 6 months if I am correct? and I would just like to say... I didn't miss any of you =/   JOKING!

'Something Interesting' has decided to add a new section into the blog (a few actually) first, as the title suggests, Gaming!

As of recently I have had the extreme pleasure of working with some incredible gamers from a variety of games which has encouraged me to blog about it! ^^

The games I will be talking about I play, and own all of them and as I play more games... I will discuss more games! Its a system ;)

1. World of Warcraft (you knew it was going to be here didn't you? :P)
               - I will actually be breaking this down into 3 categories
                            - PvP
                            - PvE
                            - RP

2. Minecraft (Yeah... I know...)

3. Terraria

4. DC Universe

5. Gunbound

6. Skyrim

7. *Random Spotlight Game*
               - This will change every week based on whats new and exciting.

You may have noticed... I have 7 games... One. For. Each. Day. o.O Wow.

Anyhow. Pretty sure that was a good introduction... So now I'm just going to jump in! Since I started almost at the end of the week *genius* I'm just going to throw all the games together into one MASSIVELY small blog! Enjoy! :)

In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story of the week law officials have uncovered a plot to smuggle drugs into Canada. The smugglers had come up with a creative scheme involving: cocain, marijuana, pineapples, and watermelon. We here at 'Something Interesting' discovered this plot quite awhile ago when concerned callers reported "something fruity" with the fruit, and of course being concerned for out readers we had the fruit tested.

We must admit it was the best fruit salad we have ever had.

For our next story of the day the U.S. is rumoured to cut 100,000 of its troops for a 'leaner, smaller military'. Curious about what our fellow Canadians we interviewed several of them, and here's what they said:
"What do they need so many troops for, eh?"
and
"That's like cutting our entire army!"
and of course
"When's the next hockey game on?"

The final story for this week Google may know more (or less) about you than you think! Log onto your Google account, go to ad preferences and see what it says about you. However some people are quite ticked off about this. Most of us at 'Something Interesting' fall under the ticked category as Google apparently believes I am a 35 year old female interested in making sandwiches, and doing what I'm told. Well guess what Google? I'm actually 34! So HA!

This has been 'In Other News...'

I am the author, the editor, and the female stuck making sandwiches for the male staff.

Side Note - We may have added and changed details and this News should (by no means) be taken seriously. We take absolutely no responsibility for anyone believing this News to be true and you may in fact be mocked.

In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story Calgary zoo officials have started a contest to name their newest addition to their zoo. It is open to all Albertans. The female calf was born last weekend, the first in 26 years. Zoo officials will choose the name from posts on Facebook. They do however require authentication of completing this online test : http://www.quizrocket.com/redneck-test. They request anyone receiving a score of 'Red-Neck' please refrain from submitting a name.

For our next story of the day Miley Cyrus and Charlie Sheen have been trading tweets on Twitter. It appears she is a big fan of both the former 'Two And A Half Men' star and of Conan O'Brien... Do I really have to say it? Honestly? Can someone else say it, or do I have to?.. Fine!

It seems like the recent nude photos of the former Hannah Montana are being put to good use.

For the final story of the evening in the recent Canadian election prime-minister Stephen Harper and current Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff go head to head. Both trading remarks such as "Yo Mama..." and "He's So Fat..." an all out brawl is predicted very soon,  by our political scientists here at 'Something Interesting'.

Although this is very ...Fascinating... we at 'Something Interesting' have this to say:
                                            "Ahem. Who cares?"
Well put! Well put... Perhaps Jack Layton may throw a few punches as well...?
"Highly unlikely," says our scientists. "Considering his hip
                                replacement... And his Alzheimer's."

For the final story of the evening in the recent Canadian election prime-minister Stephen Harper...

I feel like I am repeating myself? <--- For those not understanding the joke please read here:

In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story scientists have discovered 5 new genes associated with Alzheimer's. They believe that Alzheimer's is 90% genetic and if the 10 genes associated with Alzheimer's can be treated then they can decrease the number of Alzheimer's cases by 60%!
For our first story scientists have discovered 5 new genes associated with Alzheimer's...
Whoa! Déjà Vu...
For the second story of the day tsunami-ravaged Japan has been having problems with the amount of Nuclear waste being spilled into the pacific ocean. Here at 'Something Interesting' we are concerned for our readers health so we have put together a list of rules to follow to avoid radiation poisoning:
                      1. Do Not Eat Multi-Eyed Fish (our scientists have proven that there is something... 'fishy' about them).
                      2. Do Not Drop Your Kids Into Vats of Nuclear Waste to Acquire Super Powers (it works in comic books but several parents here at 'Something Interesting' say otherwise).
                      3. If You Happen to Stumble Across a Place Like This...

.... On Your Family Vacation DRIVE THE OTHER WAY! (our WoW experts report that without epic armour you do not stand a chance!)
                      Finally
                      4. For Anyone Who Decided to Try Rule #2 Anyways Please Contact us at This Number 905-235-8524 Immediately
Finally for our last story of the day a dog swept away in the Japan tsunami has been reunited with her family. The dog survived three weeks in an abandoned house floating off shore. Upon seeing the rescue footage the dog's owner went and claimed the pet and yes... It has been a slow week here at 'Something Interesting'.
Finally for our last story of the day a dog swept away in the Japan tsunami has been...
Ever get the feeling like you have said something before?

In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story the Alberta diagnostic code lists homosexuality under the heading of  "Mental Disorders: Sexual Deviations and Disorders". This groups sexual preference in the same place as bestiality, pedophilia, fridigity, and impotence. Many are insulted by considering homosexuality a mental illness and feel that they should be aloud to choose their own partner.

The province of Alberta is working to fix this problem and, so far, it is working. Alberta doctors billed only 5 times (for homosexuality cases) compared to more than 700 times in 1997. That is 70 times less. However the billing for homophobia is at an all time high.

For our next story 1 Million $ of Marijuana was seized by Winnipeg Police Officers. Roughly 1,000 plants and 15,000 $ in equipment and it is estimated 1.12 Million $ (in value) was seized in total. The group involved in the growing operation has been released on promises that they will appear in court. In the meantime anyone throwing a party is suggested to contact Winnipeg Police Department. Apparently they have some absolutley incredible herbs for your party snacks.

This has been 'In Other News...'

I am the author, the editor, and the endurer of this movin', groovin' ride. I salute you and if anyone is looking to go to a party... This Saturday at 10:00pm. I have friends in high places so it is guaranteed to be a bong... I mean blast!

Side Note - We may have added and changed details and this News should (by no means) be taken seriously. We take absolutely no responsibility for anyone believing this News to be true. I also am not throwing a party on Saturday, I apologize for getting your hopes up.
