In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story the Alberta diagnostic code lists homosexuality under the heading of  "Mental Disorders: Sexual Deviations and Disorders". This groups sexual preference in the same place as bestiality, pedophilia, fridigity, and impotence. Many are insulted by considering homosexuality a mental illness and feel that they should be aloud to choose their own partner.

The province of Alberta is working to fix this problem and, so far, it is working. Alberta doctors billed only 5 times (for homosexuality cases) compared to more than 700 times in 1997. That is 70 times less. However the billing for homophobia is at an all time high.

For our next story 1 Million $ of Marijuana was seized by Winnipeg Police Officers. Roughly 1,000 plants and 15,000 $ in equipment and it is estimated 1.12 Million $ (in value) was seized in total. The group involved in the growing operation has been released on promises that they will appear in court. In the meantime anyone throwing a party is suggested to contact Winnipeg Police Department. Apparently they have some absolutley incredible herbs for your party snacks.

I am the author, the editor, and the endurer of this movin', groovin' ride. I salute you and if anyone is looking to go to a party... This Saturday at 10:00pm. I have friends in high places so it is guaranteed to be a bong... I mean blast!

Side Note - We may have added and changed details and this News should (by no means) be taken seriously. We take absolutely no responsibility for anyone believing this News to be true. I also am not throwing a party on Saturday, I apologize for getting your hopes up.

In Other News...

Where does all the News that doesn't make it to the papers go? Does it just... disappear? No of course not! It comes here...

For our first story the TML (Toronto Maple Leafs - for those of you have never heard of the team) are losing their temper with the fans who continue to throw EGGO waffles onto the ice in mid game. They would very much appreciate an immediate end to this, as they feel it may cost them this year's cup. Fans have other opinions:

"I think next time instead of throwing waffles, we should throw season tickets."
"Their temper isn't the only thing the Leafs have been losing... For the past 40 years."

Sorry TML looks like your 40 year losing streak will continue but, on the bright side, we all know where to go for free breakfast! L'Eggo my Eggo.

Next Chris Brown has recently finished Anti-Domestic Violence class and Brown has something to say:

"Boys run from their mistakes .... Men learn from them!"

Rihanna has this to say:

"Shut up and drive, drive, drive, drive, drive, drive, drive, drive, drive..... off a bridge."

Well put Rihanna... Well put.

For our final story a Toronto police officer has been charged with assaulting a G20 protester. Apparently the officer beat the stage designer with a baton, broke his nose and then his cheek. Adam Nobody will make a full recovery from his physical injuries but psychologists are skeptical as to wether or not he will recovery mentally. Doctors beleive the damage caused by his last name may be too severe.

Clippets!

Okie for this part of my blog, I am calling it 'Clippets!' and how it works is basically I take 4 things that made me laugh today and tell you about it! Read on peeps who need to smile, read on.

1. The first clippet is: What Would You Do For A Klondike Bar?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSgbRwhpxxU  Please watch 0:24 - 0:30

2. The second clippet was actually yesterday. I was waiting to go to a christmas party and I hear:
"OH MY GOD! Look at your face!"
I turn around to see a lady bent over staring at some little girl's face. I swear I expected tears.

3. The third clippet is the look on my teacher's face as I asked my best friend if she "Got the stuff?"

4. The fourth and final clippet was my best friend when she demanded the definition of  "Clippet".

This has been the author, the editor, and the passenger of this roller coaster. I salute you.

P.s. Clippet - Word that ryhmes with Snippet and means the same thing. See Snippet.

P.P.s. Snippet - A small piece of something.

Day One ~ Writing Novels

Soooo for my first post I am going to talk about the novel I am currently working on. It's name, you ask? Nothing. No... My book is not called nothing, I just have no name :P   For this blog's purposes we will call it (As a group) Things That Go Bump In The Night... No that sucks. It'll be called Boo!. Yes! Perfect.

Ok Boo! officially has 3 characters: Matt, Nate, and Mel. Now my writing process is throwing my characters into the middle of a problem (no skills to fix said problem and of course no background, as I have not written one yet).

We enter the story with Matt and Nate speaking to a possible friend(?) and we are to assume the boys (Matt & Nate) are either very good friends or maybe brothers(?). So the boys are talking to their friend (no name as of yet) and are looking into Mel's background. From this we can guess they are cops... Demons are mentioned! We are not writing about cops! We are writing about 'hunters', 'paranormal experts', 'ect.'.

Well now we can guess abit about our characters,
   1. Nate and Matt (and their friend) know something about demons and this could mean they know something about all creepy critters.
   2. Mel must have freaked them out in a way that still seems somewhat human (or she would have been dead).
   3. They have access to background records (which suggests 'connections').

What I have found about writing books is that it isn't so much as telling a story as being 5 steps ahead of your characters. Sadly for me, at this point in time, Matt and Nate are throwing me curves. I would also like to say that I am much further along in this novel, but I am taking it back to Day1 (I have writer's block <-- Sigh...).

I hope you have enjoyed Day 1 of writing and it you, yourself are an author try this technique:
Take your characters and throw them onto a desert island. What do they do? How do they act? Do they get off?

I find this reaaly helps you, the author, get a feeling for who your characters are and how they think and feel. Try it. What do you have to lose?

This has been the author, the editor, and the passenger of this ever changing amusement ride. I salute you.

Day 1 - Hmm...

Okie doke. Now this is my first blog... On this site :P. If anyone can find my other blogs I'll give you bonus points (Which wins you a prize... You get to read my other blogs! Lucky you!). Anyway I'd like to say a few things before I start and that would be:

    1. I have a really bad memory, so I guarantee I will forget to write some days.
    2. I have bad spelling. Please no comments on this because I can also guarantee that it is not going to change anytime soon. (P.s. Most words I am not sure of, I google. So any problems? Take it up with Google.)
    3. Next I am random, please try and keep up.
    4. Finally... I actually don't have anything left, but I thought I needed a number 4 :)

Soooo... The main point of this blog? Is to basically give me something to do for an hour (or so) a day. Ha! :P   Joking aside the main point of this blog is to have some fun, take interested people through the process of writing a book, and well just go with the flow. Now I know I'm going to have a blast writing this blog, and I am going to guess not many people are going to read it BUT, for those who do get to enjoy my hard work, I think I'm going to take you on an amusing journey.

This is me, the author, the editor, and the passenger of this soon to be fascinating adventure. I salute you.
